My first reaction on seeing the Danze Parma pot filler was: yawn. It looked so dull. I soon got over that little bit of bigotry. True, the style is as straightforward as it gets. But plain doesn’t have to be boring, and the function is so good I soon found I didn’t care anyway. It comes in two versions: the Parma D205058 (wall mount), and the Parma 206558 (deck mount). Choose your favorite. I couldn’t. They’re both excellent.
The Kohler K-6131-4 has a name that’s hard to remember. But the quality will be hard to forget. However, the overall design has some surprising weaknesses for such an expensive faucet, along with several strengths.
Is it a faucet? Is it a water spigot? Is it even a kitchen appliance? One look at the Delta 1177LF pot filler faucet and you might ask yourself any of these questions, or all. There is one thing you won’t have to wonder about, though. It is most certainly useful.
The Danze Opulence D404557 does a superb job of re-creating the look of a late 19th century/early 20th century faucet. The bridge design is classic and, like any classic, never goes entirely out of style. At the same time, this unit is so well made, and of such good materials, that you’ll never think of it as antique in function.
It’s not often a reviewer gets to praise both the appearance and working of a faucet. Usually there’s some compromise involved. But when it comes to the Belle Foret BFN110 01 bridge faucet there’s no need. It’s an ideal blend of fine function and good looks. The Belle Foret BFN110 01 may not have a name that falls trippingly off the tongue, as Shakespeare would say. There’s no reason not to admire its features, though.
The Delta 4353-DST may or may not be to everyone’s taste. Looks, especially when it comes to faucets, are a personal preference driven by overall kitchen décor. But, artistic opinions aside, there are some objective pros and cons about the way it works. The Delta 4353-DST, part of the Linden Collection, is a medium-sized, single-handle pull-out faucet. That plain description pretty much matches the plain appearance of this model.
Like many of the company’s models, the Grohe 33870 faucet offers style and function to please a wide variety of buyers. This pull-down model has the kind of appearance, durability, and features – combined with Grohe quality – to please anyone. The Grohe 33870 – also known as “the Bridgeford” – is chock-full of the features this long-time expert at faucet design is justly famous for.
The single handle Delta Addison 9192T pull-down kitchen faucet is hard to classify. In one respect it looks a lot like a fairly ordinary minimalist faucet design. Yet, it houses (almost) no-hands technology that is just now starting to become more widespread. The 9192T resembles dozens of other faucets on the market today. But under the covers it houses unseen treasures.
This rather odd-looking pull-out faucet isn’t for everyone. But for those with a taste for the unusual it offers a unique design combined with outstanding features and function. It’s difficult to describe the Kraus KPF-1602; you simply have to see a photo. It almost looks as if the guts of some machine have been turned inside out. Yet, for all that strangeness in appearance there is something compelling here.
